Hello! My name is Brianne and I am the new Administrative Assistant for Minnesota New Country Elementary School. I am so excited to work with all of the students and families this school year!
I am passionate about education and the impact it has on children and am truly excited to be part of the MNCS team!
A little bit about myself: I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota 7 years ago. I initially went to school for mathematics secondary education, however went into the administrative field and love the variety it provides! I have acquired almost a decade of experience in administrative office roles and I feel I am truly "coming home" at MNCS, back to my foundation in the school environment as the administrative assistant for this great school! I have a passion for the elementary age and am looking forward to working with all of the staff, students, and families this school year!
For hobbies, I am a creative and artistic individual and love playing piano-anything from classical to modern pop arrangements and painting/drawing. I love animals- especially my dog Oscar, enjoy baking, shopping, and spending time with my husband and family.
I look forward to a great school year here at MNCS Elementary!
The BWCA group practiced paddling on Duck Lake on this beautiful day! We also had the students do “tip tests” were they tipped their canoes over, and then emptied the water out, and then practiced get back in.
The "Frog Class" enjoyed the many pleasures of Minnesota Fall with an Apple Experience Friday.
At MNCS the students have a chance to dabble in a multitude of experiences. After their hike at Ramsey Park today they cooled off while looking for agate.
MNCS students participated in a "hands on" experience in our automotive shop. They took apart small engines and put them back together. The trick is.....making sure they run again!
Please Welcome Kari Vassar!
My name is Kari Vassar and I live on a small hobby farm in Winthrop with my husband and 2 of our 4 kids, and a small assortment of critters. The younger 2 attend MNCS High School, and the older two live in Mankato and attend MSU. I have a degree in Graphic Design, but found it wasn’t a good fit for me. When one of my kids started attending MNCS I knew I wanted to work here in some capacity at some point.
I started working as a Special Education Paraprofessional at MNCS Elementary in April. I was drawn to MNCS because of the great philosophy of the school, but the staff are the reason I love it here! You couldn’t find a greater group of people anywhere I know of!
Sunflowers are known for being “happy” flowers! Students from MNCS High School stopped by this beautiful sunflower field in Gibbon while making their way to Alexander Ramsey Park for a day of nature and hiking.
MNCS Students were able to visit the "Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit" Today, BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you Hometown Bank in Henderson for the generous cash donation of school supplies.
Some MNCS students went to the State Fair to see butterflies others went to the Ney Center to tag Butterflies.
Fun day outside!
A day at the Minnesota State Fair!
MNCS Students enjoyed the fair (rain or shine) they were happy to be out and about exploring.
Welcome MNCS Students,
We hope you enjoy your first day of school.
A couple things to remember as we enter into 2021-22 school year:
*Magic happens outside your comfort zone
*Every mistake is a lesson
*You're capable of anything you set your mind to
*Be yourself
~ Enjoy!
Introducing another addition to our MNCS Family Jennifer MogereI, Jennifer is our Health Service Coordinator.
I have been a Registered Nurse since the beginning of 2013 primarily working in the long term care setting. With this I have a wealth of knowledge for various health related issues and concerns that I feel will grow with being in this position. I just received my Bachelors degree in December 2020. What drew me to MNCS was needing a change of pace, and the moment I walked in, I knew it was where I wanted to be. I am a mother of 6 beautiful kids ranging 15 all the way down to 3 years old. In addition we just recently got a husky puppy named Meatball and he is a joy!! I enjoy baking, cooking, spending time with my kids, playing card and board games, and watching comedy movies. I look forward to getting to know all my new co-workers, students and families!!
Last minute landscaping at the MNCS elementary.
Last day of Student Orientation-Students were given a unique item to collaborate on “why they think their item would make a great project”.
Then they presented their project idea “elevator pitch style” to the rest of the students (my favorite, the armadillo figurine).
