MNCS Strategic Plan

MNCS Strategic Plan 2022-2027

Minnesota New Country School (MNCS), recognized as Independent School District 4007, is a K12 public charter school located in Henderson Minnesota.   As a public charter school, the school is authorized by Innovative Quality Schools.

The school was founded in 1994 and was originally located in Le Sueur, Minnesota as a 7-12 school.  Four years later, the school relocated to its own school building in Henderson.  In 2013, MNCS opened a K-6 elementary school in the former Henderson High School Building (1900 Building) on a bluff overlooking the beautiful MN River Valley. The two campuses currently serve more than 220 students, with students from 13 surrounding communities within a 45-mile radius.

With a progressive approach to education, the school remains committed to looking forward as it continues to be on the cutting edge of how we educate our future generations.  With this in mind the school has consistently developed a strategic plan every five years.

In February of 2022, MNCS contracted with Chris Brown, of Beyond the Walls Education, to develop a new five-year strategic plan.  After months of reviewing documents, analyzing data, collecting survey input, meeting with staff, parents, students, and alumnus, a new five-year strategic plan has been created.
