Attention Educators:  Are you working in the field of education and curious to learn more about MNCS? On Thursday 2/22/18, you are welcome to visit MNCS High School from 10:00 – 11:30 AM to tour the building and learn about how a project-based, teacher-led school works. This event is free of charge, and you can be in touch with Nichole Kotasek at  if interested.

MNCS is looking for 16-20 students to volunteer at the Children’s Water Festival on Wednesday, March 7th from 8:20 – 3:05.

The annual Children’s Water Festival is a one-day event, heightening the awareness and importance of our most valuable resource — water. Each year about 1,000 fourth graders from Brown, Nicollet and Cottonwood Counties have the opportunity to participate in a fun-filled day of water-related activities at a Children’s Water Festival. The day is filled with hands-on activities, an exhibit hall, and entertainment.

This a great opportunity to help out and have some fun too!

We will leave MNCS at 8:20 and return by 3:05.

  • Note – this is an early out day and regular busses will not be able to take students home after the water festival is over. We will drop students off at the following locations or you can arrange other transportation prior to 3/7.

o   Mankato Dog Park around 2:15

o   St. Peter Community Center around 2:30

o   Le Sueur Community Center around 2:50

o   MNCS by 3:05 (students will need to arrange their own transportation from MNCS – the building closes at 4:30)

There is no cost and lunch is provided.

Sign up at Nichole’s desk.
