MCA Testing  begins next week at the high school. 7th graders will take the reading on Monday the 3rd, 8th grade reading on Tuesday the 4th, and 11th graders will take the MCA math test on Thursday the 6th. For a full testing calendar click here.

Theater Opportunity: If you want to audition for a play please go see Lauren in Nichole’s Advisory. The play has 10 parts so anyone willing to participate please audition. You must be willing to memorize your part quickly and work with a team. auditions will be next week – we will announce the day, time and location soon.

Friday, April 7th – Call out to all young women interested in wood carving and bowl turning!  MNCS will be partnering with the Women’s Woodshop of Minneapolis to further explore the craft of woodwork.  Cost is $10, sign up with joan to secure your spot or online payment is available for this event. Young women at MNCS will get first dibs on this experience.  Check with Paul for more information.
Friday, April 7, 2017 – CPR for 9th Graders – Laura Boelter and Kathleen Swenson will be offering an American Heart Association CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) class to interested 9th graders.  If students would like to receive a course completion card (which will be valid for two years), the cost will be $8.00.  Otherwise, no charge.  Please sign up at Joan’s desk, online payment is available for this event. .  Any questions, please see Kathy.

Cans and Plastics — all cans and plastics numbered 1-7
**Please do not recycle plastic flatware, plastic bags, or plastic wrap**
 Food waste — please recycle all food waste.
We will not recycle paper food packaging in the kitchen.
If you have large boxes please break them down and recycle.
All other waste can go in the garbage.

Tickets are for purchase at Nancy’s desk, by check, cash, or on  Students manage their own lunch tickets once purchased.  Lunches are $3.50 each, make checks out to MNCS.  Students need to put their lunch ticket with their name on it into the “Lunch Tickets” box by 8:30am at Nancy’s desk each morning to order lunch.
