This Thursday October 11th is Presentation Night at MNCS @ 6:30pm – Speech Team will be hosting a Soup Fundraiser @ 6:00pm.  See details below:

Oct. 26th – Hosanna in Mankato – Bus leaves MNCS at 7:55am, Bus leaves St. Peter Food Coop at 8:10am

Nov. 2nd – Hosanna in Mankato – Bus leaves MNCS at 7:55am, Bus leaves St. Peter Food Coop at 8:10am

6th Annual Salsa & Chili Cook-Off  –

Proceeds from this event will go toward the High School Experience Friday.

  • Advisory Silent Auction Basket Challenge – Each advisory will be making a basket for the silent auction. Baskets need to be turned in by October 11th, (mark with advisors name and minimum bid). The Advisory who has the highest bid on their basket wins a special day!

Experience Days

Friday, October 12, 2018:

A Day of P.E. – Cory will be taking students out for a P.E. day. More info to follow. The cost is $5. Bring a bag lunch or money to purchase one. Sign up with Joan to secure your spot. 
Science Friday – Lab Training Day – Learn more about the equipment and supplies in the science room. At the end of the day you will be an expert in the proper use and safety guidelines for a variety of items in the science room that you could use for projects. Get certified to use microscopes and learn how to handle chemicals safely. We will also explore the process of proposing and doing your own science project. There is no cost for this experience. Apple Pressing – David will be taking students outside to press apples from MNCS Organic Apple Orchard. The cider that is pressed will be for sale at the Salsa and Chili Cook-off. There is no cost for this experience.Sign up in the Experience Book on Joan’s Desk.
Short Stories With Jennifer – We will listen, read, and discuss short stories. You will earn .1 Language Arts standards, with an opportunity to earn an additional .1 credit! There is no cost for this experience.Sign up in the Experience Book on Joan’s Desk.

The Kitchen Cupboard Cafe Menu 18-19

Our School Lunch is catered in each day from Patty’s Kitchen Cupboard Cafe in Le Sueur.  Lunch Tickets are for purchase at Nancy’s desk, by check & cash, and online – click on the Square icon above. Students will be given physical tickets, and will manage their own lunch tickets once purchased.  Lunches are $3.50 each, make checks out to MNCS.  Students need to put their lunch ticket with their name on it into the “Lunch Tickets” box by 8:30am at Nancy’s desk each morning to order lunch.  See the KCC’s Menu below:

Other Information

Please clip and save Box Tops for Education for MNCS!  The advisory which collects the most Box Tops for Education between now and December 7th will receive a pizza party. Proceeds from Box Tops for Education benefit all students at MNCS. CONTEST SPONSORED BY NUTS&BOLTS

 

FREE Grab N Go Breakfast Program for ALL students from 7:45 – 8:10 a.m. If you would like to donate cash or product to help with this program please contact Joan Skelly:   jskelly@newcountryschool.com. Breakfast Donations – Here is a list of donation items for both MNCS Elementary and High School Breakfast Club Donations
Henderson Area Food Share – Is a group of community members is sponsoring a produce distribution for area community members and even outside of the community. Located at Minnesota New Country High School. Distribution will take place every “THIRD” Thursday of the month, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
The income guidelines to qualify are as followed, but we do not intend further inquires for financial statue, and will go based upon the honor system.
